Chuck’s tireless commitment to his clients has been one of the cornerstones upon which our practice was built. His leadership and focus on putting the needs of our clients first has been a key component to our success over the years.
Chuck retired from Stifel on February 28, 2019, after 18 years in the investment industry. In 2003, he and Ted Sturges made the decision to form the Sturges-Dickinson Financial Group. In 2015, believing the corporate culture of Stifel was more closely aligned with our team’s client-first philosophy, Chuck and Ted made the move to Stifel. Even as he was approaching retirement, Chuck was not deterred from his unwavering commitment to bring our clients to a firm that embodied a client-focused culture. He also brought a strong work ethic (he was consistently the first one to arrive to work each morning) and a great sense of humor.
Chuck was born and raised in Covington, Indiana, and graduated from Indiana University. While the Indiana Hoosiers will always hold a special place in his heart, his greatest passion is his family. His wife, Lisa, their three children, and eight grandchildren are the true treasures in Chuck’s life.
Chuck’s contributions to our team and the practice he helped build over 18 years are immeasurable. Thank you, Chuck, for sharing your life with our clients and with our team.
“I’ve loved my 18 years as a financial advisor. Most of my enjoyment from this part of my career is because of the great people I’ve had as clients. I will miss them dearly. I don’t have any set plans for retirement, but I am confident I will enjoy new experiences that come with it. I will likely play a little more golf, and Lisa and I would like to travel to some new places. I firmly believe that I can still make a contribution to the people of my community through volunteering and meeting new people. Of course, my family will continue to be the most important presence in my life.”
